Karen Dell Phillips

New Iberia– Funeral services will be conducted for Karen Phillips (Latiolais), age 71, on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 2 p.m. at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Keith Landry officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. to the time of service at 2 p.m.

Karen Phillips (Latiolais), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on August 4, 2022, in New Iberia, LA.

She was born July 1, 1951, to Charles and Isabelle Latiolais in New Iberia, LA where she graduated from New Iberia Senior High School. Karen worked at Southern Bell before becoming a homemaker. While raising her family, she helped her husband with his Boy Scout Troop 18 in Lafayette and made a lasting impact on many in the troop. She loved to go to thrift stores, make Mardi Gras décor, design costumes, and constantly changing her furniture. Karen will forever be remembered with a Misty 120 and an "actual glass" of Coca-Cola in her hand while talking on the phone with her favorite girlfriends.

Karen is survived by her children, Casey (Tabatha) Phillips of DeLand, FL, Chaswill (Cindy) Phillips of Youngsville, LA, and Mollie (Jordan) Miles of Magnolia, TX; her sister, Belle (Ronald) Warren of New Iberia, LA; 4 grandchildren, Taylor Phillips, Conner Phillips, Chase Phillips, and Evelyn Miles; former spouse, George “Spike" Phillips of Conroe, TX, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Cynthia Phillips and Carla Latiolais; her brothers, Charles Latiolais and William Latiolais, and her parents.
