Joyce Duplantis Primeaux

Abbeville- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Joyce D. Primeaux, 89, will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1pm with Fr. Francois Sainte-Marie officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 4pm until 8pm with a recitation of the rosary at 6t:30pm.

Visitation will resume on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 8am until time of services.

A resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Joyce passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

The Primeaux family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Maison du Monde, especially the Memory Care Unit for the quality of care they had given Mrs. Joyce.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Primeaux and his wife Jamie of Abbeville, and Freddy Primeaux of Abbeville; her daughter, Kathy Gisclair and her husband Robert of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Samuel Primeaux, Meghan Johnson and her husband Kaven , Aubrey Primeaux, Blake Primeaux, Brady Gisclair, and his wife Angele, Cale Gisclair and his wife Julia, and Kylie Quibodeaux; her great grandchildren, Lexie Gisclair, Cameron Gisclair, Leah Gisclair, Jolie Gisclair, Austin Gisclair, Anthony Gisclair, Eva Quibodeaux, Emmett Quibodeaux, and Kamryn Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Paul Fred Primeaux, Sr., her parents, Luke and Faye Duplantis; and her brother, Horace Duplantis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brady Gisclair, Cale Gisclair, Robert Gisclair, Samuel Primeaux, Kaven Johnson, and Cameron Gisclair.
