Joseph John Romero

Lafayette- Funeral Services for Mr. Joseph John Romero, 88, will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 10:00AM with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery of Youngsville.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 5:45PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 8:00AM until time of services.

A resident of Lafayette, Mr. Joseph passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was the kind of person that always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed playing solitaire, going to church, picking pecans, and gardening. He loved playing with his great nieces and nephews and visiting with his family and friends.

He is survived by his, daughter, Nita LeBlanc and her husband Marc of St. Martinville; his sisters, Annie Miller and her husband Billy of Lafayette, and Irene Alleman and her husband Chester of Lafayette; his sister-in law, Anna Romero of Lafayette; his brother-in law, Lawrence Broussard of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Stephanie Delahoussaye and her husband Keagan of St. Martinville, and Nicole LeBlanc of St. Martinville; his great grandchild, Adilynn Delahoussaye; his nieces, Tira Miller and her husband Wade Castille of Lafayette, and Joyce Lamson and her husband Lawrence of Lafayette; his Godchildren, Daniel Desormeaux, Patrick  Minus Romero, and 1david Vernice Romero; and many more nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raoul Romero and Angel Menard Romero; his brothers, Vernice Joseph Romero and his wife Joyce, Joseph Minus Romero, and Joseph Leroy Romero; and his sisters, Florine Broussard, Agnes Desormeaux and her husband Preston, Jr., and Mary Ann Romero.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Vernice Romero, Donald Joseph Romero, Joseph Leroy Romero, Donavaughn Trenton-Blayne Miller, Angela Martin, and Lawrence Lamson.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Minus Romero, Daniel Desormeaux, and Christopher Lamson.
