Jordan, born in Temple, Texas on May 27, 1984, was the devoted father of Jackson Davis. He has been a resident of Lafayette since 1990. Jordan was a 2002 graduate of Lafayette High School where he was a keen saxophone player for the Lafayette High School marching band and a forward for the LHS soccer team. Jordan attended Northwestern University where he pursued his great love for music education and later transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette so that he could focus on Jazz performance. After Jordan welcomed the birth of Jackson he went on to graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a bachelor’s degree in general studies in 2020. He was in the process of earning his real estate appraisal license and starting his own company Davis Real Estate Appraisals.

Jordan was an avid outdoorsman who loved all things hunting, fishing, kayaking, boating, and camping. He was almost more comfortable sleeping in a hammock or a tent over a bed. His love for music led him to learn multiple instruments, and his favorite genres were Jazz and Rock music. Jordan was a chef with Zea in Baton Rouge for many years, and loved to use his family as guinea pigs for new recipes. Jordan had a passion for all things nostalgic. He loved sharing memories from childhood and always smiled and laughed when remembering times spent with his grandparents. Jordan had a special affection for Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. Jordan was unbound by societal norms and expectations. He lived life on his own terms, with a dry wit that appreciated the unconventional. He will be remembered for his love of spending time with his son, Jackson, coaching his soccer team, swimming and playing at the camp, and his great passion for sports and the outdoors.

Left to cherish Jordan’s memory is his son, Jackson Cade Davis; his loving parents, Michelle Wolf Davis and Tom Davis; his brother, Brant Davis and wife Hillary; his nephew Henri’ Leblanc; his sister Kelsye Baudoin and husband Benjamin, his uncle Mike Davis and aunt Chela; his aunt Andria Billeaud and husband Bryan; his uncle Kevin Wolf and aunt Susan; and his many loving cousins Hunter Guchereau, Tucker Billeaud, Cole Billeaud, Samantha Wolf Stelly, Matthew Davis, Cecilia Johnson, Katie Wolf, and Nicholas Wolf.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Ruth Wolf; paternal grandparents, William T. Davis, Sr. and Charlene Marshall; and one cousin, Trent Guchereau.
