John "Mooney" Aucoin, age 88, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and kindness. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, John served his country honorably and was stationed in Japan during his time of service. Beyond his military duties, John's true joy in life came from nurturing his family and tending to his beloved yard. He treated his nieces and nephews with unwavering affection, embodying the role of a loving father figure in their lives.
A dedicated gardener and arborist, John poured his heart into cultivating his vegetable garden and caring for his fruit trees, which stood as a testament to his green thumb and nurturing spirit. His culinary skills were also cherished by his family, who fondly remember his shrimp mold dishes and special fruit salad. John's compassionate nature extended to the furry friends in his neighborhood, particularly the cats, whom he ensured were always well-fed and cared for.
