John W. Hebert, Jr.

Graveside services for John W. Hebert Jr. were held Tuesday June 22, 2021, at 1:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Broussard.

John was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Broussard, he was Chief of the Broussard Fire Dept. for a number of years as well as a member of the Lafayette Volunteer Police Dept. John was retired from Bell South which later became AT&T. John passed away Monday June 21, 2021, at his residence in Broussard.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Hebert; his daughters Linda and her husband Steven Landry, Lisa Hebert, and Tina Schexnayder and her husband Blaine Schexnayder; his son John D. Hebert; son-in-law Dano McNulty. John is also survived by his siblings Gayle Hebert, Glenn Hebert, and Anita H. Banks, his grandchildren, Ashley Freeman, Megan Brady, Brittni Jones, Steven Landry, Blake Schexnayder and Jace Schexnayder, and his great grandchildren, Dillan and Janais Freeman, Kynzie and Kamryn Jones.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Nita McNulty; parents John W. Hebert Sr. and Zona Hopkins Hebert; and his brother Art Hebert.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette 316 Youngsville Hwy. 337-837-9887 was in charge of arrangements.
