Jimmie Ray Guillory, Sr.

New Iberia– A Celebration of Life will be conducted for Jimmie Ray Guillory, Sr., age 68, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. David Funeral Home with Pastor Sean Boudreaux officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.

A native of Lafayette and a lifelong resident of New Iberia, Jimmie Ray Guillory, Sr. passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.

Father, grandfather, brother, kindest man that was ever known. He was a man who would do anything for his family and friends. He married the love of his life and has missed her every day since she went to heaven.

He spent many hours, quietly fishing for the daily catch or sitting in a blind with his closest friends at “Poor Boy Hunting Club”. He also enjoyed all sorts of music, but his favorite was the sounds of Johnny Cash.

Jimmie is survived by his three children, Dana Guillory Comeaux, Jimmie Ray “TJ” Guillory, Jr. and wife Angie, Ryan Joseph Guillory and wife Joy; sisters, Carol Guillory Hebert, Kathy Guillory Faul, Janice Guillory;11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda B. Guillory; daughter, Chasity Hope Guillory; his parents, Meus and Mary Lou Carrier Guillory; grandchild, Destinié Champagne, and Lil’ David Champagne.
