Jessica Maturin Mouton

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian burial for Jessica Maturin Mouton, 65, will be held at 1:30PM on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Michael Russo officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, January 4, 2024 beginning at 8:30AM until the time of service, with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

A native of Erath and a resident of Youngsville, Jessica passed away Thursday, January 03, 2024. She loved to read and dine out. In her free time, she enjoyed needlework, creating beautiful and intricate pieces with her skilled hands. She even stitched part of the quilt hanging in the hall at St. Anne Catholic Church. When it came to music, she had a special place in her heart for Cajun music and swamp pop. Above all else, family was everything to Jessica. She will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family and the joy she brought to their lives.

She is survived by a daughter, Maegan Duhon and her husband Nicholas of Youngsville; her mother, Mary Bourque Maturin; a sister, Darlene Domingue; two granddaughters, Aubrie Duhon and Catherine Duhon; and a grandson, John Duhon.

She is preceded in death by her father, Loifey Maturin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nicholas Duhon, Carl Broussard, Macy Broussard, Troy Bourque, Doug Sonnier and Nolan Maturin, Jr.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Bourque, Russell Bourque, Ronnie Hulin, Bryce Broussard and Bill Boudreaux.
