Jerome "Jerry" Roy Comeaux

Lafayette – Funeral Services for Mr. Jerome “Jerry” Roy Comeaux, 66, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at David Funeral Chapel of Lafayette with Fr. William Schambough officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 beginning at 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM.  Visitation will resume on Thursday, May 2, 2024  beginning at 8:00AM until the time of the services.

A native of Youngsville and a resident of Lafayette, Mr. Comeaux died at 7:28AM on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Jerry was a graduate of USL, maintaining a 4.0 average throughout his time at USL. He served as a Mechanical Engineer in the Oilfield, and worked alongside of his Family as a Master Electrician later in his working career.  He was also a former fourth degree Knight of Columbus and was known for his love to tinker.  He loved his Children and Grand Children, often bragging about them to his friends and neighbors at Rosewood Assisted Living.

He is survived by a son, Jeremy D. Comeaux and his wife Kim of Parks; two daughters, Christie C. Poole and her husband John of Houston, TX and Kacie Celeste Comeaux and her significant other Mike Gonzales of Welsh, LA; four brothers, Brent Comeaux, Steward Comeaux, Jamie Comeaux, and Anthony Comeaux; two sisters, Jacqueline Bardin and Shirley Ransonet; eight grandchildren, Hailey Williams, Ely Comeaux, Brad Thibodeaux, Mary Thibodeaux, Thomas Poole, Jacob Poole, Wyatt Gonzales, and Elizabeth Gonzales; and one great-grandchild, Myla Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Allen Comeaux and Joycelyn G. Comeaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steward Comeaux, Jamie Comeaux, Anthony Comeaux, Jeremy Comeaux, Ely Comeaux, and Brad Thibodeaux.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Poole, Jacob Poole, and Wyatt Gonzales.

He will be dearly missed by his Family and Friends.
