Jerome J. Decuir, Sr

Youngsville – A Private Interment for Mr. Jerome J. Decuir, Sr., 83, will be held at a later date at St. Alphonse Cemetery.

A native Loreauville and a resident of Youngsville, Mr. Decuir died at 11:04AM on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Pelican Pointe Nursing Home.  He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.  Mr. Jerome worked in the International Oil Field his entire career before retiring from Murphy Oil.  He was known for his enjoyment of fishing and dancing.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Primeaux Decuir of Youngsville; a son, Jerome J. Decuir, Jr. and his wife Mary of the Woodlands, TX; a daughter, Jennifer Decuir of Coteau Holmes; a sister, Millie Peterson and her husband Dennis of Broussard; a step-son, Dwayne Primeaux and his wife Juli of Austin, TX; a step daughter, Wendy Hernandez and her husband Craig of Maurice; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilman, and Corinne Broussard Decuir.
