Janet Lemaire Robichaux

Jeanerette – A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Janet Lemaire Robichaux, 91, will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Francis Damoah officiating. The Inurnment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery.

The praying of the rosary with family and friends will begin at 9:30AM on Thursday, April 3, 2025 St. at John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

A native and longtime resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Robichaux died on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at her residence surrounded by family. She was a member of The Catholic Daughters and a Eucharistic Minister at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mrs. Janet was a former manager at Iberia Savings and Loan in Jeanerette and did volunteer work at the Jeanerette Museum, but her proudest time was being a full-time mom and wife. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing bridge.

She left behind a loving family which include her children, Cindy Robin and her husband Mike, Doug Robichaux, Jr. and his wife Lolo, Karl Robichaux and his wife Tammy, Brenda Booty and her husband Kevin, and Sheila Wolf; a brother, Fabian “Bib” Lemaire, Jr.; ten grandchildren, Guy Robichaux and his wife Shelly, Alison Pugh and her husband Ducky, Derrick Lagarde and his wife Ali, Ryan Robin, Marc Robin and his wife Courtney, Rochelle Hartmann and her husband Tom, Stephanie Babineaux and her husband Seth, Jake Robichaux and his wife Sara, Samuel Booty and his wife Beth, and Rebecca White and her husband Kade; and twenty-four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Robichaux, Sr.; her parents, Fabian Lemaire, Sr. and Constance Stella LeBlanc Lemaire; two brothers, Jimmy Lemaire and Ronald Lemaire; two sisters, Laura Moresi and Loretta “Totsie” LeJeune; and a son in law, David Wolf.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Mrs. Robichaux’s name to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette (https://www.stjohnjeanerette.org/) for mass intentions or the building fund.

A reception will follow the inurnment at the Robichaux residence.
