Lafayette – A Mass of Christian burial for Janelle Romero Dore, 82, will be held Wednesday March 13, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Broussard with Father Michael Delcambre officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2023, from 8:30 AM until time of service with a recitation of the Rosary at 11:00 AM.

Born and raised in Abbeville, long-time resident of Broussard and later She and her beloved husband Jimmy moved to Breaux Bridge to be closer to their daughters. She dedicated many years of her life as a skilled and passionate hairdresser, using her talents to not only enhance outer beauty but also to uplift the spirits of those in her chair.

Janelle found joy in the simple pleasures of life. In her spare time, she liked playing Bingo and Bourre’. Janelle had a green thumb that transformed her yard into a vibrant haven. Her love for tending to her flowers was evident in the kaleidoscope of colors that adorned her garden, a testament to her nurturing touch.

Away from the hustle and bustle, Janelle found solace by the water's edge, engaging in her love of fishing. The tranquil moments spent with a fishing rod in hand were cherished respites from the demands of daily life. Yet, amidst all her hobbies, Janelle's greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. Family was the cornerstone of her existence, and her love for them knew no bounds. Janelle passed away Friday March 8, 2024.

Janelle is survived by her two daughter, Suzette LeGrand and her partner Vincent McIntyre, and Patty and her husband David Cannino; eight Grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and four great- great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy J. Dore; two sons Jimmy Jean Dore and Joey Joseph Dore; her parents Wilbert and Esma Segura Romero.

Serving as pallbearers will be Travis LeGrand, Jason Dore, Brian Cannino, Jesse Cannino, Dustin Koning, and Gaige Dugas
