Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for James D. Pridgen, Jr., 77, will be at 11:00AM Friday, August 30, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Andre Metrejean officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will be in David Funeral Home of Erath Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Friday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Meridian, Mississippi and a resident of Erath, Louisiana, James passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Maison du Monde in Abbeville. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran working on the “Minute Man” missiles while stationed in North Dakota. He was a baseball coach and a huge Bobcat fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jennifer Frederick Pridgen; four sons, Blaine Pridgen and his wife Janna of Arnaudville, Shane Pridgen and his wife Brooke of Erath, Jamie Pridgen and his wife Emily of New Iberia, and Jeremy Pridgen and his wife Candace of Henry; and two daughters, Monique Pridgen Primeaux and her husband Shane and Danielle Pridgen Walker and her husband Clayton both of Erath; his grandchildren, Shay Primeaux, Peyton Primeaux, Wyatt Primeaux, Gabriel Primeaux, Cameron Pridgen, Bailee Pridgen, Camille Pridgen, Bentley Pridgen, Brianne Pridgen, Isabella Pridgen, Sophia Pridgen, Taylor Broussard, Morgan Broussard, and Sarah Broussard, his sisters, Sudie Pridgen Hancock of CA, and Pam Newman of AR He is preceded in death by his parents, James Pridgen, Sr. and Pallie Poole Pridgen, his step father Tommy Hancock, a step brother Tom Hancock, and a granddaughter Emmie Kate Pridgen.”his angel” David Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements. 209 E.
