James Pisani, Jr.

New Iberia – A Memorial Service for James L. Pisani, Jr., 83, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park of New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00AM on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Frioux-David Funeral Home until the time of service.

A proud veteran, James bravely served our country in the United States Army.  He retired from Union National Insurance. He then spent a second career with AFLAC until he retired once again, He had a love of sports that started early in his life. He was in boxing throughout high school and enjoyed pool, golf and softball later in life. Family was very important to him. He was a caring husband who loved his wife dearly and an active father in his sons’ lives. He took pleasure in volunteering his time as a coach, referee, and even fundraising events to support his sons in their sports and activities. He was known for his love of cooking, and he was good at it. As he got older, he had a deep affection for the companionship he found in his dogs.

He is survived by four sons, Roger Pisani and his wife Rachel of Youngsville, Marty Pisani and his wife Sondra of New Iberia, Tony Pisani of Maysville, GA, and Kent Pisani of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Theodore “Ted” Pisani, Ricky Pisani and his wife Netsy, and Michael Pisani and his wife Denise; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline “Tickie” Pisani and Mary Morein; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,  great nieces and nephews that Love their Uncle Bobby! He always made them feel special.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Fremin Pisani; his parents, James L. Pisani, Sr. and Rose Mae Pisani; a brother, Albert Pisani. Nephew Jarrett Pisani, Niece Caroline Pisani as well as his son in Law Robert White who took great care of him.

Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia at 1101 Trotter Street (337) 369-6336 will be in charge of the arrangements.
