Lafayette– Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Hue Thi Do, 80, on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 9:00AM at David Funeral Home of Lafayette.  Services will conclude at Lafayette Crematory, 2920 N. University Ave. Lafayette, La.

A native of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Do passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Do led a quiet yet fulfilling life, characterized by her unwavering dedication and hard work. Her days were defined by a diligent work ethic that permeated every aspect of her existence. Despite the tranquility that surrounded her, Mrs. Do found joy in exploration, having a penchant for traveling to new places that allowed her to appreciate diverse cultures. Beyond her professional pursuits, she delighted in the simple pleasures of life, relishing in the joys of savoring delicious meals and discovering unique treasures during her shopping escapades. Mrs. Do's biography encapsulates a life of balance, blending industriousness with a passion for experiencing the richness the world had to offer.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Khanh Cong Nguyen of Lafayette; children, Do Thi Mai of Vietnam, Nguyen Cong Danh, Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuy, Nguyen Thi Nhu Thoa, Nguyen Truong An, Nguyen Thi Nhu Thanh, Nguyen Truong Thinh all of Lafayette; 15 grandchildren, and 1great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nhuan Huu Do and Le Thi Ngau.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Nguyen Cong Danh, Nguyen Truong An, Nguyen Truong Thinh, Andy Nguyen, Scott Hawkins, and Patrick Nguyen.
