Erath – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Hilda LeBlanc Viator will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 beginning at 8:30AM until the time of service with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Hilda LeBlanc Viator passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on June 11, 1931, to the late Adam Hebert and Edia Dore’ Hebert. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church all of her life. She was a graduate of Erath High School Class of 1948. Upon finishing business school, she went to work for Trappey’s, where she worked as a billing supervisor. When McIhenney bought out Trappey’s, she went to work for them until she retired. She enjoyed her family get togethers, where baking was her favorite. She had a huge collection of cookbooks. Her family favorites were her gooey brownies, heavenly hash and pralines. Her fluffy white rice was also a family favorite along with her sticky chicken. She prayed several rosaries a day, where she would pray for her loved ones or anyone she knew who needed prayers. She had a library of books, where she could always be found reading a good book. She enjoyed listening to Cajun music and loved to dance. She enjoyed going to the casino and had a passion for a good game of bourre’. She belonged to many groups throughout her lifetime. She is survived by a son, Michael LeBlanc; a daughter, Lisa Arceneaux (Aaron); four grandchildren, Tracie Delcambre (Rynn), Jeremey LeBlanc (Kristie), Ryan LeBlanc (Felicia) and AJ Arceneaux (Callie); ten great-grandchildren, Cole (Kelsey), Camryn, Dax, Molly, Ean, Cy-David, Ryan Elise, Ella Grace, Emerson and Evelyn; and one great-great-granddaughter, Ainslee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Edia Hebert; two husbands, JR LeBlanc and Wilson Viator; a son, Mark Todd; a grandson, Tyler Arceneaux; a great-grandson, Jon Tyler Arceneaux; and three brothers, Roy Hebert (Lulia), Dud Hebert (Ella) and Nolan (Hilda) Hebert. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Ryan LeBlanc, Jeremy LeBlanc, A.J. Arceneaux, Rynn Delcambre, Cole Delcambre and Dax LeBlanc. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana, a special thanks to Seth, Natalie and Vivian and the Concepts of Care/Vital Caring for their excellent care, compassion, and support during her illness. The family would also like to thank Mr. Boni Suire for bringing her the Gospel weekly when she became homebound.
