Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Hazel Manceaux Duhon, 86, will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Casey Dugas officiating. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, December 22, 2023 beginning at 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.
A native of Kaplan and a resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Duhon died at 11:04AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Hazel enjoyed crocheting, working with her flowers, babysitting, and going to the beauty shop. She especially enjoyed being with her great granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Glynn Duhon Gallet of Lafayette; a grandson, Shane Gallet and his wife Callie of Lafayette; a great granddaughter, Elita Gallet; sister in law Brenda Manceaux ; three nephews, Kevin Manceaux, Dwayne Manceaux, and Reese Manceaux; and a niece, Sharla M. Steen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Duhon; her parents, Willie and Olite Hebert Manceaux; two brothers, Minos Manceaux and Adra Manceaux; and a niece, Marina M. Granger.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Luquette, Kevin Manceaux, Benjamin LeBlanc, Shane Gallet, Dewey Derouen, and Justin Manceaux.
David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangement.
