Abbeville- Funeral Services for Mrs. Girlie Hebert, 88, will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2:30PM with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday October 15, 2021 from 10AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 2PM. A native of Abbeville, Mrs. Girlie passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. She enjoyed being a caring housewife to her late husband of 50 years. Some of her favorite past times were playing Bourrée and making tarts and pralines. She is survived by her daughters; Beverly Giardelli and her friend Charlie Vincent of Abbeville, and Charlene Trahan and her friend Randy Hasting of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Clint Roy an his wife Stacey, Brody Trahan, and Eric Lyons; her seven great grandchildren; and her brother, Clarence Hebert of Abbeville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Hebert; her parents, Eloi Hebert and Anastasia Hebert; her daughter, Janell Trahan Bettis; and grandson, Leonard Michael Giardelli, Jr. Her family would like to give special thanks to Maison du Monde Nursing Home nurses and employees for the special care she was given, especially Stephanie Morton Golden and Neil Steen.
