Geraldine Comeaux

Lafayette- Graveside Memorial Services for Ms. Geraldine Comeaux, 76, will be held at St. Anne Cemetery on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 12:15PM with Fr. Russo officiating.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 8:00AM until services at 12:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

Ms. Geraldine Comeaux was born in Opelousas La and was a graduate of Northside High School in Lafayette Louisiana. She was an accomplished musician and singer. She started singing with Ray and the Hilltoppers and recorded music in Houston and Nashville. Geraldine was a tenacious and strong woman who was loved by many, family, and friends. Later Geraldine loved to fish and eventually fulfilled her dream of living on her house boat. She loved her community in the swamp and they loved her, caring for Geraldine in her final days. Geraldine was surrounded by loving family and friends in her peaceful passing.

She is survived by her brothers, Wayne Comeaux of Youngsville, Glenn Comeaux and his wife Wanda of New Iberia, and Carl Comeaux and his wife Brenda of Lafayette; her nieces and nephews, Chuck Comeaux and his wife Lisa, Chad Comeaux and his wife Tammy, Melissa Hughes and her husband Robbie, Tamara Comeaux, Saddie Comeaux, Brandon Comeaux and his wife Hannah, and Joshua Comeaux; and her great nieces and nephews, Brent Comeaux, Bethany Comeaux, Adalynn Comeaux, and Micah Comeaux.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Comeaux and Marie Ryder Comeaux; and her sister in-law, Janel Comeaux.
