Gerald Joseph Lange

Erath- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Gerald Lange will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 12PM with Father Metrejean officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 10AM.

A native of Erath, Mr. Gerald passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He worked offshore with ODECO for 13 years. After that he worked as a dump truck driver and then spent 20 years with the school board as a bus driver. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Abby Vice Lange; his son, Joseph Christian Lange and his wife Jeannine of Milton; his daughter, Erica Ann Toups and her husband Devrick of Kansas; his brother in law, Cebre Romero of Erath; his sisters in law, Janice Vice Trahan of Erath and Karen Vice of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Reed Hebert, Hunter Lange and his wife Haley, Ashleigh Lange, Jonah Toups, and Olivia Toups; and his four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dudly Lange and Rita Migues Lange; his sister, Jeanell Romero; and his brother in law, Horace Vice and his wife Marie Guidry.

Serving as pallbearers will be Reed Hebert, Hunter Lange, Blake Hebert, Marcus Romero, Alan Montet and Mike Vice.
