Geneva Ross Clemmons

Lafayette- Funeral Services for Geneva Ross Clemmons, 79, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 24,2022 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Pastor Chris Fusilier officiating. Internment will be held at a later date in Headriver, GA.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday February 24, 2022, from 10:00AM until the time of services.

A native of Headriver, GA and a resident of Lafayette, Ms. Clemmons passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Ms. Clemmons was born on April 7, 1942, to the late Raymond C. Ross and Georgia Hunt Ross. She graduated from Dade High School in 1960. She began her career as a school bus driver and utility construction worker. Ms. Geneva worked at PHI for over 27 years in the upholstery shop before retiring. She believed in her faith in God and attended Ashbury Methodist Church in Lafayette. She loved to crochet and garden as a pass time. She also loved to travel. Ms. Geneva loved her children and grandchildren deeply. She was a loving and caring person.

She is survived by her partner, Bill B. Dale. three sons; David W. Clemmons, and his wife Juanita, of Arnaudville, LA, Anthony E. Clemmons, and his wife Sandra, of Georgetown, FL, and Dennis E. Clemmons, and his wife Monica, of Youngsville, LA; ten grandchildren; David “DJ” W. Clemmons Jr., Dane J. Darby, Andre’ M. Darby, Aaron C. Darby, Sandra “Peanut” Ingle, Michael C. Clemmons, Jessica C. Broussard, Mike Crase, Katie Crase, and Dustin Crase; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great great- grandchildren; Bill’s sons; Daniel Dale, and his wife Janine, and Tom Dale, and his wife Sandi; Bill’s grandchildren; Bryan, Dana, Madison, Josh, and Nicholas; and Bill’s two great grandchildren..

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond C. and Georgia Ross. And one brother; Rufus Ross.
