Many of his PKT brothers became lifelong friends with whom he enjoyed many good times on the golf course, at the card table, on the phone, and at the camp. Rocky spent his professional career in oilfield services at OSCA, IMCO, and MI Drilling Fluids. Rocky’s favorite pastime was coaching his daughters and grandchildren in all sports, but especially softball. Coach Rocky coached many aspiring softball stars on the Rockettes, MI Midgets, the Drillers, and Cajun Express. He was inducted into the Louisiana USSSA Hall of Fame in 2007. He was truly the “Rock” of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years (though he would say he was married all his life), Charlene Hebert Olivier; four daughters, Melanie Lauer (Vincent), Catherine, Terri, and Lauren; grandchildren, Kate, Vinny, and Ali Lauer, Logan Storms, and Emily Owen; one sister, Karen Guiberteau of Katy, TX; brother, Evans Olivier of Ozark, Ala., and very special aunt, Pat Higgins of Fort Worth, TX. His four daughters were his pride and joy. He most aspired to be a loving husband and supportive father. Rocky lived a good life and was a faithful servant.
