Fred Everette Stratton

Lafayette~ A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Fred Stratton, 83, will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 1:00PM with Fr. Michael Delcambre officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held a Frioux- David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 5:30PM.

Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Frioux- David Funeral Home of Lafayette from 9:00AM until time of services.

A resident of Lafayette, Mr. Fred Passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Mr. Fred lived a full life consisting of two parts. The first part he centered everything around his family. He worked as an electrical contractor and then got into electrical designing. He loved coaching his kids’ sports teams and caring for his wife and children. The second part of his life, he truly started to pursue his passions. He became a busybody. He enjoyed hosting holidays, cookouts, and family pickleball tournaments. He also loved dancing and was the director of his local pickleball association. Above all, he loved his family and his friends. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his children, Fred Stratton, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Winder, GA, Traci Guidry and her husband Steven of Youngsville, Kerri Stratton of Lafayette, and Marti Gallet and her husband Brian of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Tylere and his wife Hannah, Kyle Guidry, Kameron Guidry, Chandler Dupuis and his wife Lizzie, Paige Dupuis, Addison Gallet, and Aubrey Gallet; and his great grandchildren, Jett Stratton, Karter Guidry, and Kruz Guidry.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Hazel P. Stratton; his daughter Lauri Dupuis and his parents, Kenneth and Azelie Stratton

Serving as pallbearers will be Tylere Stratton, Chandler Dupuis, Kyle Guidry, Kameron Guidry, Kim Dupuis, Steven Guidry, Brian Gallet.

Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette 316 Youngsville HWY (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
