Fred was a man of many passions, and he lived a life full of love for his family, friends, and hobbies. He had a heart as big as his interest in life's joys, from working on cars to indulging in his favorite pastimes.
Fred was a lover of all things motorsports, from racing cars to fixing them. His passion for antique cars and mechanic work was a lifelong pursuit. His skill and expertise in repairing cars earned him the admiration of all who knew him. His garage was his sanctuary, where he spent countless hours creating, tinkering, and sharing his knowledge.
When Fred wasn’t under the hood of a car, you could find him watching wrestling, his favorite sports, or enjoying the classic charm of westerns. He had a knack for understanding the art of competition and could often be found rooting for his teams with unmatched enthusiasm.
In addition to his many hobbies, Fred had a passion for food. He loved cooking and eating, and his specialties were a true reflection of his love for flavor and tradition. His gumbo, roast, stew and seafood dishes were legendary among his family and friends, with many gatherings centered around his cooking. He was equally happy to sit down for a meal with loved ones or share his culinary creations.
Fred also enjoyed spending time bowling, and whether on the lanes or simply socializing with friends, he brought his vibrant personality and energy everywhere he went.
Fred will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of love, laughter, and joy in the simple pleasures of life will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is survived by three daughters, Tara Charpentier and her wife Lindsey, Kristen Charpentier and her wife Fagan, and Kelly McDaniel and her husband Bryan; six grandchildren, Austin, Madalyn, Paige, Lynzy, Jadyn, and Brandyn; and three great-grandchildren, Amiyah, Phoenix, and Za’reece.
