Frank Allen Mooring

Lafayette – Funeral services for Frank Allen Mooring, 83, will be held Thursday August 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM in David Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Fusilier Pastor of Youngsville Baptist Church Officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of services Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

A native of Clarendon Texas, and a resident of Youngsville Frank a veteran of the US Navy, he enjoyed fishing, arguing, and spending time with his friends and family especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his beloved dog Sophie. Frank passed away Tuesday August 8, 2023.

Survivors include his children Lisa and husband Sam Richard, Wade and wife April Mooring and Jared Mooring and partner Lauren Green. Grandchildren Tyler Richard, Blake and wife Andrea Richard, Halie Richard and partner Brannon Haywood, Layne Mooring, Ashlyn Mooring and Alyssa Mooring; great grandchildren Ava Claire Paris Richard, Bentley Richard, and Kenzie Haywood. Frank is also survived by his brothers Kenneth Mooring, and John and wife Sharon Mooring, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Richard Mooring; parents Thomas and Pauline Patterson Mooring; and his siblings Glen Mooring, Gerald Mooring, Norman Mooring and Arline Beck.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Richard, Wade Mooring, Jared Mooring, Layne Mooring Blake Richard, and Tyler Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth, John, and Mark Mooring.

The Mooring family wishes to thank Hospice of Acadiana, NSI and Brookdale Assisted Living.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to the family to defray any cost.
