Eugene "Bozo" Joseph Gary

New Iberia– Funeral services will be conducted for Eugene “Bozo” Joseph Gary, 66, on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 7:00PM at David Funeral Home of New Iberia with Deacon Keith Duhon officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5:00PM until the time of service, with a recitation of the rosary at 6:30PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Gary passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 7:00PM at Iberia Medical Center.

Eugene was well-known for his extensive knowledge of lawnmowers. He dedicated much of his career to working on and repairing vehicles, a passion that earned him the respect and admiration of many. His expertise was unparalleled, and he took great pride in ensuring that everyone's lawnmowers were in perfect working condition.

Beyond his professional life, Eugene had a deep love for cutting grass, a task he approached with enthusiasm and precision. His perfectly manicured lawns were a testament to his dedication and skill. Eugene's love for the outdoors was evident in every blade of grass he trimmed.

Eugene cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a dedicated father to April and Ashley. His family was his greatest joy, and he always made sure to create lasting memories with them. Eugene's kindness, patience, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his two daughters; April Gary Hill (Keynon Hill Sr.) and Ashley Gary (Edrick Alexander); Four grandchildren; Jasmin Gary, Trent Comeaux Jr., Tyler Comeaux, Keynon Hill Jr.; one great-grandchild; Josiah Landry; and a sister; Gloria Gary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amar and Gladys Gary; and two sisters; Theresa Gary Lasalle and Joann Gary Babineaux.
