Eraste Hebert, Jr.

ABBEVILLE-Funeral Services for Eraste Hebert Jr. ,89, will be 10:00AM Sunday March 17, 2019 at David Funeral Home of Abbeville with Deacon Bill Vincent officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville Saturday March 16, 2019 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Sunday from 8:00AM until service time.

Eraste, born in Forked Island, and a resident of Abbeville, passed away Friday March 15, 2019 in his residence. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Vermilion Honor Guard.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nell Hebert; his sons, Brian Wayne Hebert and wife Veronica, and Joey James Hebert; a daughter, Vickie Lynn Hebert; 2 sisters, Ouida Porter and Helen LeMaire; grandchildren, Michael Paul Hebert and wife Morgan, David Lee Hebert and wife Jessica, Air Force SSGT Erik James Hebert and wife Samantha,and Army PFC Patrick William Hebert; 10 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eraste Sr. and Josephine Campbell Hebert, his father in law Wallace Paul Suire; and 2 brothers, Isaac Hebert and Donald James Hebert.
