Elaine "Grannie" Huval Pommier

Loreauville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Elaine “Grannie” Huval Pommier, 88, on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held on from Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 2:00PM until 8:00PM, and resume on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 8:00AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 4:00PM.

A native of Rayne, LA and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Elaine passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 7:50PM at Consolata Home. She enjoyed sewing and making dolls. Mrs. Elaine enjoyed watching football games and her favorite team, the New Orleans Saints. She was well known for her cooking and her barbeque. Mrs. Elaine enjoyed going to Cypress Bayou Casino and playing the slot machines. She always looked forward to Thanksgiving being celebrated at her son, Tommy’s house.

She is survived by two sons; Tommy Pommier and his wife, Bonnie, of Loreauville and Larry James Pommier Sr.; two daughters; Dianna Mills and husband, Dale, of Church Point, LA, and Belinda Fabacher of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Loicey Jean Pommier; one son; Allen Pommier; her parent; Alsace and Sadie Huval; her siblings; Cliffton Huval, Stanley Huval, Cleo Huval, and Marguerite Leger.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Alex Broussard, Jessie Viator, Gavin Viator, Dale Mills, Tommy Pommier, and Larry Pommier Sr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Nicholas Olivier, Justin Olivier, Cory Bullard, and Stephen Herpin.
