Edres T. Blanchard

Jeanerette– A Private Graveside Service was conducted for Edres T. Blanchard, age 82, at Beau Pre’ Mausoleum Chapel with Fr. Alexander Albert officiating. Entombment followed at Beau Pre’ Mausoleum.

A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Edres T. Blanchard passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 2:52 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Edres was a true homemaker. She raised her family of three boys and loving her grand and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook, cooking every day to keep her family fed but, she did not like cooking much.

Edres is survived by her two sons, Scott Blanchard (Ronda), Brian Blanchard (Bonnie), both of Franklin; six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jacob and wife Tiffany, Bailey, Bridget, Amanda and husband Bryce, Morgan, and husband Robert; daughter-in-law, Tina Blanchard; 7 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Paulette Alleman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Blanchard; one son, Steven Blanchard; parents, Paul Amos and Hazel Hebert LaDoucer, and her siblings, Louis LaDoucer, and Eugene LaDoucer.
