Dorothy Sittig Roussell

Lacassine - A Graveside Service for Mrs. Dorothy Sittig Roussell, 88, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Lacassine Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Jom Joseph officiating.  Interment will take place Immediately following the service.

A native of Evangeline and a resident of Broussard, Mrs. Roussell died at 8:03AM on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at her daughter’s residence.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, dancing, and partying.  Mrs. Dorothy was a friend to all.

She is survived by three sons, Shelby Roussell and his wife Janet of Broussard, Glenn Roussell and his wife Rose of Duson, and Marcus Roussell and his wife Meghan of Chico, CA; a daughter, Cheryl Stoute and her husband Neil of Arnaudville; six grandchildren, Blake Nero, Ryan Stoute, Kelly Landry, Rocky Roussell, Kaylee Williams, and Tony Roussell; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary LaCombe Sittig; two brothers, Alvin Sittig and Douglas Sittig; and three sisters, Lillie Vern Blackwell, Ester Mae Teele, and Rosa Belle Grimsley.

Serving as pallbearers will Glenn Roussell, Neil Stoute, Ryan Stoute, Bekham Stoute, Ricky Roussell, Steve Roussell.
