Donney Goutierrez, Sr.

Erath- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Donney Goutierrez, Sr., 79, will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 1:00PM with Fr. Sensat officiating. Internment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on March 10, 2023 from 9:00AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. A resident of Erath, Mr. Donney passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He was a former employee of the Texaco Henry Gas Processing Plant for 32 years. He raised registered shorthorn cattle and quarter horses and was a past president of the Shorthorn Association of Louisiana and Vice President of the Milking Shorthorn Association. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Quarter Horse Association and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Goutierrez of Erath; his son, Donney Goutierrez, Jr. and his wife Jodi of Erath; his daughter, Monique Goutierrez of Erath; his brothers, Marty Goutierrez and his wife, Shari of Broussard, Farron Goutierrez of Erath, and Benny Goutierrez and his wife Dana of Erath; his sister in laws, Judy of Montz, Connie of Abbeville, and Charlotte of Erath; his grandchildren, Abigail Goutierrez, Isabella Goutierrez, and Joshua Trahan; and his numerous nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ned Goutierrez, Sr. and Ledie Brasseaux Goutierrez; his brothers, Shelly Goutierrez, Lynn Goutierrez, and Ned Goutierrez, Jr.; and his grandchild, Michael Trahan. Serving as pallbearers will be Donney Goutierrez, Jr., Joshua Trahan, Jude Mire, Kelly Mire, Chris Mire, and Eddie Goutierrez.
