Donald "T-Don" James Meyers, Jr.

Abbeville – A Funeral Service for Mr. Donald “T-Don” James Meyers, Jr., 40, will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at David Funeral Chapel of Abbeville.  Interment will follow at Bancker Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, March 21, 2024 beginning at 10:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:30AM.

A native of Kaplan and a resident of Abbeville, Mr. Meyers died at 8:26AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at a local residence. Don was one of a kind, he had an untamed spirit like the Wild Horses he broke and an infectious smile like no other. There was never a dull moment when he was around. Don was always the life of the party cutting up and making you laugh so hard with the “crap” he would say or do. At a very young age he had this unbelievable talent like no other grown cowboy had. As a dear friend once said – “There was never a bull to big to be roped or a horse to bad to be ridden”, he was hands down a true Cowboy. Don had a great love for his family and friends but most of all his two precious daughters. He had various struggles throughout his life, but we know he is now at peace and will be missed very dearly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Glenda LeBlanc of Abbeville; two daughters, Aubrey Lynn Meyers and Avery Elizabeth Meyers; a half-brother, Daniel Baker; two half-sisters, Christene Constantin and spouse Richard and Dana Benoit  and spouse Jarret ; his maternal grandmother,  Lorainne LeBlanc; three aunts, Sharon Perrin, Karen Latiolais, and Diane Huval; and numerous nieces, Nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Meyers, Sr.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Baker, Jarret Benoit, Justin LeBouef, Scottie LeMaire, Matt Marceaux, and Jason Mouton.

Serving as honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Constantin.

David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
