Donald James Arceneaux

New Iberia– A graveside service will be conducted for Donald James Arceneaux, age 88, on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Holy Family Mausoleum at 2:30 p.m. with Deacon Wade Broussard officiating.

A native of Bayou Blue and resident of New Iberia, Donald J. Arceneaux passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 .

Donald was proud to have served in the USAF Strategic Air Command during the Korean War. He loved his family, traveling, hunting, fishing, golf, and tennis.

He is survived by his three children, Philip Arceneaux, Janet Lott, Michelle Arceneaux; two grandsons, Seth Lott (Lauren), Matthew Lott, and one sister, Gloria Clarke (Robert “Bob”).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Quinlan Arceneaux; parents, Eldon and Ann Matherne Arceneaux, and two brothers, Berkley Arceneaux and Leslie Arceneaux.

The family would like to thank Lisa Lewis of New Iberia, LA for her kind heart and guidance, and the staff of Stuart Meyer Hospice House of Palm Coast, FL for their compassion and kindness in caring for Don. Special thanks to friends and staff of Market Street Memory Care of Palm Coast, FL.
