Daly Lee Duplantis

Erath- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Daly Lee Duplantis, 92, will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 1:00PM with Fr. Clinton Sensat officiating.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, July 6, 2023 beginning at 9:00AM until the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM

A native and resident of Erath, Mr. Daly passed away at 2:30PM on Friday, June 30, 2023 at his residence. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. While in the army he lived in Washington, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Korea, and Japan.  Mr. Daly was a painter for over 42 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He especially loved going to Smiley’s Dance Hall with his wife.

He is survived by his son, Ricky Duplantis of Erath; his grandson, Ricky Duplantis, Jr.; his brother-in-law, Alvin Benoit; his nephew, Ryan Benoit; ; his great nephew, Mathew Morvant; and his great niece, Miranda Morvant.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Setsuko Ii Duplantis; his parents, Galbert and Loria Duplantis; his brother, Junius Duplantis; and his sister, Gloria Benoit; and niece Roxanne Morvant.

Serving as pallbearers will be members of his family and friends.

David Funeral Home of Erath 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
