Curtis "Sonney" Toffier, Jr

Loreauville–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Curtis “Sonney” Toffier Jr., Age 83, on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon as Celebrant Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the St. Joseph Church before the Celebration of the Holy Mass at 10:45 a.m.

A native of Loreauville and lifelong resident, Curtis Toffier passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.

M. Curtis loved the great outdoors and enjoying the wildlife.  He also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.

Mr. Curtis Toffier is survived by his wife, Helen LeBlanc Toffier; two daughters, Crystal Toffier, and Pam T. Skinner (Burt); his grandchildren, Marcus Oubre, Emily Skinner; siblings, Sheryl Vincent (Roy), Patricia Verret, and Marylou Toffier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis J. Sr. and Mathilde Decuir Toffier; siblings, Dorothy Latiolais, Violet Shattuck, Hazel Sampey, and Vivian Ruiz.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Marcus Oubre, Kenneth LeBlanc, Bradley Gaspard, Burt Skinner, Lynn Delcambre, and Benny Julien.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearer is Brock Romer.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana, Doctors, Staff Members at Iberia Medical Center, and Brock Romero and his staff of Rural Health Clinic of Loreauville for the wonderful care and support they shared with the Toffier family, also in place of flowers, donations can be made in Curtis Toffier’s honor to St. Jude Children's Research Center.
