A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Curley August, Jr. will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 10:00AM with Fr. Sensat officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 beginning at 7:00AM until the time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 9:00AM.

Born of November 04, 1963 in Lafayette, La

Called to Eternal Home on October 15, 2022 at his residence. He died peacefully.

Curley was very kind, sweet and always willing to lend a hand when called upon. He was a jack of all trades. He was the life of the party. His hobbies included fishing, cooking and barbequing. He also enjoyed being with his entire family.

Curley leaves to cherish his memories, his companion of 39 years, Ada M. Allen of Erath; five daughters, Carmen Green (Kiley Green) of Opelousas, Ashley Prejean and Bianca Thibeaux (Daryl Thibeaux, Jr.) of Abbeville, Amanda S. August and Kelcy August of Erath; one son, Jared August of Erath; four sisters, Dr. Jerelyn Dugas (Dr. Gerald Dugas) of California, Sharon Levene, Sybil August and Lynette A. Pilette (Joseph Pilette) of Abbeville; three brothers, Ronald August and Michael August of Abbeville, and Kevin August (Diana August); his Godmother, Melba Chargois; a Godchild, Markeesha Levene Green;  13 Grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Curley August, Sr. and  Mary Gladys T. August; and one grandchild Da’Morian Thibeaux.

Serving as pall bearers will be Ronald August, Markeil Edmond, Zylon Zenon, Jabian August, Jacorlin Levy and Tariq Arriaga.

Serving as Honorary pall bearers will be Kevin August, Kalen Allen, Willie Wiltz, Jacob Levine, Carlos Garcia, Jonathan Levene, Michael August, Kiley Green, Lawrence Allen, Jared August, Gerald Wiltz and Clarence Allen.
