Charles "Sonny" Richard Tignor Jr.

New Iberia– A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Charles “Sonny” Richard Tignor Jr., 73 on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at David Funeral Home of New Iberia.

A native of Zanesville, Ohio and resident of New Iberia, “Sonny” as he was affectionately known passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at his home. “Sonny” kept up with current events, had a great affection for cars, and enjoyed fishing in his younger days.  He loved the time he spent with his family and close friends.

He is survived by his children, Melisa Sue Tignor of New Iberia, Charles “Charlie” Richard Tignor III of Youngsville, Kyle Joseph Tignor of New Iberia, Sean Michael Tignor of Youngsville; grandchildren, Gabrielle Paige Landry, Cody James Landry Jr., and Kohan Matthew Tignor; former wife, Pamela Ann Reed Tignor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Tignor Sr. and Ruth Ilene Munn Tignor; daughter, Chainie Ellen Reed; siblings, Joseph Tignor, Bonnie Tignor, and Susan Tignor.
