Charles Ray Frederick, Sr.

New Iberia– A Memorial Service will be conducted for Charles Ray Frederick Sr., 73, at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00PM with Michael Rubio officiating.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 1:00PM until time of service.

Charles Ray Frederick, Sr, 73, passed away in his home on September 3, 2024. At work he was known as “Charlie” and in his hometown of Joyce, La he was known by family and friends as “Charles Ray”. Growing up he enjoyed building model cars. As he grew into adulthood his hobbies grew too, his brother and him would build hot wheels racetracks big enough to fill a room, then he moved on to real cars. He married his loving wife, Martha on December 10, 1968, He was a loyal and loving husband until death did them part, 55 years later. During their marriage  they had 4 beautiful children, 14 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. He had a 41-year career as an Instrumentation Specialist in the oil field. Unfortunately, he was forced to retire in 2008 due to an accident. Today he is still very well known in the oil field industry.

Charles is survived by His wife Martha Fay Steel Frederick, his 2 daughters and 2 sons, Judith Denise Frederick Boudreaux and spouse Richard Donavan Boudreaux, Sherry Renae Frederick, Charles Ray Frederick, Jr., Aaron Edward Frederick and spouse Karen Frederick, 14  grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by Father Charles Edward Frederick, his mother Lilian Maxine Frederick, his sister Sharla Gail Frederick and his brother Stephen Dale Frederick.
