Erath – Funeral Services for Mr. Charles David Frederick, 83, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 04, 2024, at David Funeral Home of Erath with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment will follow at LeBlanc Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Saturday, May 04, 2024, beginning at 10:00AM until the time of service with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Charles was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending every waking moment with his wife riding around checking on their cattle. He loved all of his cattle, but he had a special bond with his Brahma bull named Man. He took pleasure in admiring flowers and watching the hummingbirds, cardinals, and squirrels from the back window of the house while listening to music. He was a jack of all trades, constantly thinking of things he could create out of nothing. He was a big man with a big heart always trying to help others. He is survived by three daughters, Monica Frederick Harrington of Erath, Daphne Frederick LeBlanc and her husband Tim of Erath, and Christine Frederick Dailey and her husband Neil of Crowley; a son, Todd Frederick and his wife Lori of Henry; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Harrington (Crystal), Jared Harrington, Brooke Boudreaux (Byron), Taylor Abshire (Samantha), Alec LeBlanc, Emma LeBlanc, Jace Frederick, Lani Frederick, Ahni Frederick and Lacey Dailey; four great-grandchildren, Adysen Boudreaux, Alexis Boudreaux, Kinsley Frederick, and Annie Abshire; two brothers, Earl Frederick of Erath and Rodney Frederick of Tx; and two sisters, Betty Landry of Lafayette and Mary Luquette of Erath. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Reaux Frederick; his parents, Edvay and Elodie Bares Frederick; and his godmother, Thomasine Bares. Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Frederick, Jace Frederick, Alec LeBlanc, Taylor Abshire, Jonathan Harrington, Byron Boudreaux, and Jared Harrington. David Funeral Home 209 E.
