Cecile Hebert Tauzin Thibodeaux

Loreauville–A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Cecile Hebert Tauzin Thibodeaux, age 92, on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Godwin as Celebrant. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.

Cecile Hebert Tauzin Thibodeaux, aged 92, departed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 11, 2024, at her residence. Born on February 23, 1932, in St. Martinville to Ulysses and Marthasie Boutte Hebert, Cecile leaves behind a legacy of resilience and warmth.

For five decades, Cecile devoted herself to her upholstery and saw filing business, becoming a pillar of her community. Yet, her greatest joy came from nurturing her family. She poured her heart into cooking, delighting in preparing meals for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. Home was her sanctuary, where she tended her beloved flower gardens and diligently mowed her lawn every Thursday, riding her zero-turn mower with a contented smile. Her compassion extended beyond her family; she welcomed stray animals into her yard, offering them a meal and a moment of kindness. Cecile's gentle spirit and unwavering love will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Cecile is survived by her three children, Raymond Tauzin (Mike), Kathie Sweeney (Clinton), Wayne Tauzin (Sandra); five grandchildren, Angie Crochet (Sandy), Bubba Sweeney (Dinky), Matthew Sweeney (S’lena), Morgan Sweeney (Ashley), Joseph Tauzin (Tavia); four siblings, Louis Hebert, Lois Nassans, Vernice Bonin, Jean Ellen Pritchard; 15 great-grandchildren, 11 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two former husbands, Louis Tauzin, and Walter Thibodeaux; parents, Ulysses, and Marthasie Boutte Hebert; siblings, Evelyn LaCoste, Abel Hebert, and Clyn Hebert.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Morgan Sweeney, Matthew Sweeney, Bubba Sweeney, Drake Sweeney, Devin Sweeney, Logan Porter, and Wayne Tauzin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tristin Sweeney, Aidan Sweeney, Dax Sweeney, Dylan Porter, Joseph Tauzin, Clinton Sweeney, and Raymond Tauzin.
