A devout and faithful Catholic, Carol dedicated her life to God, her family, and the countless lives she touched. She was a woman of strong faith, never wavering in her love for Christ and her commitment to a life of prayer. Carol was particularly devoted to praying the Rosary, finding peace and strength in the quiet moments spent with her Heavenly Father.
As a loving wife and a devoted mother, Carol’s greatest joy was her family. She was a dedicated homemaker, lovingly tending to her home and caring for her children. Carol homeschooled her daughters with an unwavering commitment to providing them with a strong foundation in both academics and faith. Her love for them was boundless, and she worked tirelessly to nurture them with kindness, discipline, and wisdom.
In addition to her devotion to her family, Carol had a passion for gardening. Whether cultivating flowers or growing vegetables, she found joy and fulfillment in working with the earth, and her gardens were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Carol was known for her warmth and hospitality. She cherished large family gatherings at her home, where laughter, love, and delicious meals filled the air. Her cooking was legendary, with her cornbread, biscuits, and salads being especially beloved by all who were lucky enough to sit at her table.
Carol’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her children and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and service, and she will be deeply missed. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Pitre and her husband Bryan, Tammy Comeaux, and Holly Sevin and her husband Anthony J.; eight grandchildren, Adam Pitre and his wife Grace, Tyler Comeaux and his wife Abby, Brittany Guillotte and her husband Devin, Cole Sevin and his wife Brittany, Halie LeBlanc and her husband Tony, Abbie Chapman and her husband Blake, Jordan Sevin, and Joshua Sevin; and eleven great-grandchildren, Kason, Baylen, Ethan, River, Revin, Benny, Kaylen, Ruby, Charlie, Brayden, and Bella Rose.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Donald Albert Gauthier; her parents, James Carol and Mary Joyce Gauthier Hebert; and her son-in-law, Richard Comeaux.
