Byron A. Trahan

Youngsville – Funeral Services for Mr. Byron A. Trahan, 64, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at David Funeral Home Chapel of Lafayette with Deacon Keith Duhon officiating.  Interment will follow at LeBlanc Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 9:00AM until the time of the services.

A native of Crowley and a resident of Youngsville, Mr. Byron died at 3:44AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Lafayette Ochsner Hospital.  He retired from Ferrellgas after over 35 years of service and was known for his love for the outdoors and farming.  This included raising animals and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ruby Picard Trahan of Youngsville; his father, John C. Trahan; his special cousins, Kim St. Marie, Logan Beadle, and Olivia Beadle; one brother and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louella T. Trahan.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Bernard, Artie Cole, James Bourque, Lenwood Broussard, Dale Doucet and Brent Comeaux.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to James “Jim” Bourque and Mr. Byron’s friends at Ferrellgas for their support.
