Bruce Eugene Richard

Lafayette – A celebration of life honoring Bruce Eugene Richard, 79 will be held Tuesday July 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM in David Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday July 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Bruce was born on December 1, 1942, in Opelousas, La.  He was the son of John Ulyssis Richard and Mamie Lavergne Richard.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking especially building bird feeders for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his dog Trixie, and all who knew him. Bruce past away Thursday June 30, 2022 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife Ellen P. Richard; his children Robert and his wife Tina Richard, daughters Jamie Richard, and Kim R. Trahan and her companion Kirk Richard; grandchildren Robert and his wife Ginger Richard, Jacob and his wife Megan Richard, Dustin Coker, Karlie Coker, Myles Trahan, Cayden Trahan, and Noah Trahan; Great grandchildren Coy, Kale, Jayce, Hadleigh Richard, and August Levy.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents John Ulyssis Richard and Mamie Lavergne Richard; and his brother Tyrone Richard.
