A native and resident of New Iberia, Brenda Landry passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Iberia Medical Center.
Brenda Landry, beloved wife of 17 years to Keith, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was deeply devoted to her family, with a heart that knew no bounds. Brenda found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially camping and fishing with her loved ones. She had a deep love for nature, spending hours bird watching and caring for her many cherished pets, including two cats, Tippy and Sandy; three German shepherds, Sheba, Lady, and Lucky; and four small but mighty chihuahuas, Tiny, Honey, Holly, and Britney. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, prayers, and the warmth of those she held dear.
Brenda’s greatest accomplishment was her 42-year career as a nurse, a profession she pursued with deep compassion and dedication. She cared for anyone in need, touching countless lives with her kindness and skill. Her unwavering commitment to helping others was a true testament to her generous spirit. Beyond her career, Brenda’s selflessness extended even further. As both an organ transplant recipient and donor, she understood the profound gift of life. Her experience reflected her resilience and gratitude, while her decision to donate gave others a second chance. Brenda’s legacy of love, care, and devotion will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
