Bouaban "Ban" Syharath

New Iberia– Funeral services will be held for Mr. Bouaban “Ban” Syharath, 65, on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 1:00PM at David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. Cremation will follow at Southwest Louisiana Crematory in New Iberia.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, on Friday, August 18, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, and on Saturday, August 19, from 11:00AM until service time.

A native of Vientiane, Laos and resident of New Iberia, Bouaban passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at a local hospital.

He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Bounpanh Kousonsanong daughter, Nash Kousonsanong and husband Khambang Viengvilay; daughter, Somloth Kousonsanong and husband Johnny Vo; son, Michael Siharath; and 5 grandchildren, Andrew Viengvilay, Katie Viengvilay, Ava Vo, Adrienne Vo, and Adalyn Vo.

He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
