New Iberia– Funeral services will be conducted for Barbara W. Mazerole, 78, on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Keith Landry officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 9:00AM until time of service.

A native of Lake Providence, LA and resident of New Iberia, Ms. Mazerole passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 11:52AM at Maison Teche Nursing Home. Ms. Barbara loved flowers and planting them in her garden. She worked at Abdalla’s Gift Boutique and was well known for her friendly demeanor. She never met a stranger. She loved to cook for her family and was well known for her pork chops, grits, and homemade biscuits. She loved her grandchildren and will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children; Lyndy Dugas and her husband Beanie Dugas and Art Mazerole Jr.; three grandchildren; Madison and Sophia Mazerole and Ashton Dugas; siblings; James “Butch” White and Becky Gromer and her husband Jack; four nieces; Latricia White, Jessica White, Ruth Von Dette, and Stacey Peterson; a nephew; Beau White; and a sister-in-law; Barbara Lasseigne.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Mildred White; siblings; J.M. White, Jr., and Charles White, Shelia McDonald; a sister-in-law; Debra White; a god child; Charles White, Jr; and former spouse; Arthur Mazerole, Sr.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana, the Abdalla Family, the Quinlan Family, Maison Teche Nursing Home, and her friends.
