Audrey L. Viator

Jeanerette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Audrey L. Viator at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Alexander Albert officiating the services. Interment will follow at St. John Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 2:00 PM. A recitation of the rosary will be prayed on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 6:00 PM.

Mrs. Audrey passed away peacefully at Iberia Medical Center on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 12:04 PM, at the age of 81.

Upon graduating from high school, Mrs. Audrey responded to her calling and attended S.L.I. to study to become a teacher.  She would retire after a combined 54 years of teaching, between Iberia and St. Mary Parishes. She was gifted to meet the unspoken needs of her students. Mrs. Viator coached basketball for over 30 years and she was also a member of J.R.D.A.  She was a beautiful woman inside and out and she proudly wore the crown of Miss Jeanerette. She loved her children and grandchildren very deeply and she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Mr. Edgar Barrilleaux of Franklin; her son, David Viator and his wife Melinda of Jeanerette; her son, Teddy Viator of Hattiesburg, MS; her son, Todd Viator and his wife Sandy of Garden City; and a step daughter Karen Viator of Lafayette; her grandson Jonathan Viator and his wife Shawna; her grandson Matthew Viator; her granddaughter Audrey Blair Viator; her grandson Parker Viator; her granddaughter Alison Viator; her great-grandchild Kloe Lucille Viator; her sister Jackie Trickey; her brother Michael Judice and her brother Larry Judice.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, T.J. “Cricket” Viator; her son Michael Scott Viator; her parents, Mr. Carroll Joseph Judice and Mrs. Lucy Lucille Hebert Judice.

Upholding the honor as pallbearers will be will be Todd Viator, Teddy Viator, David Viator, Jonathan Viator, Larry Judice, Mike Judice, Matthew Viator and Parker Viator.
