Annie G. Landry

New Iberia – Annie G. Landry, age 97, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 13, 2019, at 4:37 PM at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. A private memorial graveside service will be held at a later date. A native of Bruges, Belgium, she and her husband were the Owners and Operators of Iberia Beauty Academy for over 25 years after moving to the United States in 1950, with schools in New Iberia, Crowley, Lafayette and Morgan City. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts. She is survived by her daughter, Josianne Carpenter and husband Kenneth, Jr. of New Iberia; grandson, Kenneth J. Carpenter; granddaughter, Tiffany Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Joseph N. Landry; father, Hector Gruwet; mother, Mara Vermase Gruwet.
