Funeral Services for Anitra Lynn Monique, 46, will be held at David Funeral Home on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 2:00PM with Father Champagne officiating.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, LA on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10:00AM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Sunday at 8:00AM until the time of Service.

A resident of St. Martinville, LA. Miss Anitra Lynn Monique passed away peacefully at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette, LA on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Anitra was born December 31, 1976 in Lafayette, LA .  Anitra always loved a good party, music, dancing, going to the casino, food, spending time with her family and her friends and most of all she loved her hairbrush.

She is survived by her father Norris Monique of St. Martinville, LA; her brother Andre’ Monique and his wife Crystal of Kaplan, LA, her sisters Ronta Bellard and her husband Steven of Lafayette, LA, Patrice Monique of Lafayette, LA, Nichole Babin and her husband Chad of Parks, LA, Danielle Bourque and her husband Darren of Broussard, LA, her nephews Braxton, Briley and Brogan Babin, Carson Bourque, her nieces Tayler Monique and Courtney Bourque. Her great nieces Mila Mire, Elee Babin, Hollyn Briley, Kacelynn Babin and her great nephew Briggs Babin.

Anitra was loved by all who knew her. She will definitely be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She had such a contagious smile.

She is preceded in death by her mom Joyce Tribe, her maternal grandparents Bonie Tribe and Delta Leblanc Tribe. Her paternal grandparents Edmay Simon Cormier and Alfred Monique of Leroy, LA.

The Family would like to send their heartfelt Thanks to her very special caregivers Lois Ledet, Kelsey Duhon, her sister Nichole Babin, her Dr.’s, Nurse’s and staff at St. Joseph Hospice and the Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA.
