New Iberia – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Angela “Angie” Fay Brice,a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Angie’s life was marked by her passion for music and the arts. She was a skilled jewelry maker, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and eye for detail.
Angie proudly served in the United States Air Force, where her dedication and commitmentwere evident. Her service to our country will always be remembered with gratitude and respect. A true lover of animals, Angie spent much of her time supporting animal charities andadvocating for the well-being of creatures great and small. Her compassion for animals was acornerstone of her character, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched. Angie’s warmth, generosity, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever be cherished by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Durst; her parents, Garry and Jeanette Basey Brice; a brother, Seth Brice; her aunts and uncles Tom Basey, Guy Jr. and Sheri Basey, Fay and Tim Broussard, Ann Brice, and Peggy Brice.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Guy and Thelma Basey; her paternal grandparents, L.G. “Jack” and Barbara Sandifer Brice; and her uncles, Larry Brice and James Brice.
